Cefalù è una piccola cittadina siciliana a circa 70 km da Palermo, famosa per il suo borgo storico che si affaccia direttamente sul mare e che fa parte dei borghi più belli d'Europa.
L'aeroporto più vicino è quello di Palermo, facilmente raggiungibile con compagnie low cost da tutta Italia ed Europa.
Alcune compagnie aeree atterrano anche nel più piccolo aeroporto di Trapani, un pò più scomodo e distante dalla cittadina ma comunque utilizzabile.
Se si decide di non noleggiare un'autovettura, usciti dall'aeroporto si trovano facilmente i pulmann della compagnia Prestia e Commandè che ad 11 euro a tratta portano fino alla Stazione Ferroviaria di Palermo e viceversa con partenze ogni mezz'ora.
Dalla Stazione, un moderno treno regionale porta fino a Cefalù in circa 50 minuti al costo di 6,50 euro.
Salvo non si voglia restare tutta la settimana in spiaggia è consigliabile avere l'auto per potersi muovere e visitare paesi vicini, spiagge incantevoli e la stessa Palermo. La si noleggia con facilità direttamente in aeroporto. Unico problema in questo caso è il parcheggio praticamente impossibile da trovare in paese.
Nel paese sono presenti alcuni hotel, soprattutto nella parte moderna, mentre nel Borgo Storico la maggior parte degli appartamenti sono in affitto. Si trovano facilmente modernissimi appartamenti a costi modici.
Innanzitutto si è al mare. Vale la pena quindi godersi le spiagge e gli stabilimenti balneari. Quello più caratteristico è al vecchio porto di Cefalu. E' il luogo anche dove effettuare anche tutti gli sport acquatici, dal noleggio della moto d'acqua alla famosa "banana".
Da visitare assolutamente è il Duomo di Cefalù che fa parte del patrimonio dell'umanità (UNESCO) ma soprattutto la Rocca di Cefalù che domina l'intero paese. Ci si arriva solo a piedi con una camminata alla portata di tutti di circa 30 minuti. Questa la vista che si gode una volta saliti.
Il consiglio fondamentale, soprattutto se si ama cucinare e se si ha una cucina, è di recarsi al mattino in una delle pescherie della città e comprare pesce fresco. I prezzi sono davvero ottimi. Della qualità non parliamone.

Un locale giovane e accogliente che vi farà assaggiare piatti speciali a metà fra la tradizione e la sperimentazione.
Consiglio: chiedere sempre il pesce fresco del giorno e fidarsi assolutamente del consiglio dei giovani gestori.
Non perdersi anche l'occasione di ordinare un cocktail dopo cena. Qualità ottima.

Questo moderno locale, da poco aperto sul lungomare del paese, offre sia servizio Pizzeria sia una serie di piatti molto sfiziosi come l'Hamburger di Ricciola.

Per gli aperitivi consiglio spassionato Le Petit Tonneau: una piccola e fornita enoteca che ha due tavolini sotto un bellissimo portico che da sul mare. Assieme all'aperitivo portano pane e speciali patè tipici. Prezzi modici. Sempre se trovate posto.
Non immaginatevi di essere a Riccione o Milano Marittima, ma anche dopo cena si trovano posti affollati dove divertirsi e fare conoscenze.

una bellissima scalinata zeppa di cuscini su cui sdraiarsi e godersi ottimi cocktail a 5 euro.

locale vicino al paese. I cocktail sono eccezionali. 5 euro l'uno.

Se oltre a bere desiderate anche ballare, ecco il posto che fa per voi. Uno stabilimento balneare con al centro una piscina. Si balla fino a tarda notte. E' il ritrovo di chiunque voglia fare le ore piccole.
Si vive tranquillamente con 50 euro a persona al giorno.

Worth visiting is the cathedral of Cefalù which is part of the World Heritage Site (UNESCO) but above the rock of Cefalù which dominates the entire country. It can be reached only by walk of about 30 minutes. This is the view enkoyed once climbed.

The neares airport is Palermo, easily accessible by low cost airlines from all over Italy and Europe.
Some airlines also land in the small airport of Trapani, a little more uncofortable and distant from the town but still usable.
- How to reach Cefalù
If you decide not to rent a car, leave the airport are easily found the coach company Prestia & Commandè that at 11 euros each way leading to the realway station of Palermo and return, with departures every half hour.
